20 ans après le premier opus, Renton, Begbie, Sick Boy et Spud reviennent à Edimbourg.
Synopsis : Trainspotting 2 s’inspire du roman Porno, suite du best-seller Trainspotting de Irvine Welsh. L’action s’y déroule dix ans plus tard alors que Simon Williamson alias Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) retourne à Edimbourg afin d’y réaliser un film pornographique. Alors qu’il appelle son ancien pote Mark Renton alias Rent-boy (Ewan McGregor) pour qu’il lui file un coup de main, Francis Begbie alias Franco (Robert Carlyle) – fraîchement libéré de prison – et David Murphy alias Spud (Ewen Bremner) viennent mettre le projet en péril…
